Are you ready to be the face of Beep and a guardian of cutting-edge autonomous technology? As a Customer Service Shuttle Attendant, you will have a unique opportunity to merge innovation with safety, making every ride a smooth and secure experience for our passengers and the community.
As a Shuttle Attendant, your primary focus is on ensuring passenger and road user safety while delivering exceptional customer service. You will safely operate the vehicle and system interface, confidently represent the community and local businesses, and handle manual maneuvers in various situations. You'll professionally address customer issues with a calm demeanor, provide essential emergency services, and communicate enthusiastically with passengers about the technology.
You'll conduct vehicle inspections, troubleshoot basic issues, coordinate with the Command Center, manage tickets for vehicle issues, and support vehicle logistics.
Additionally, you'll ensure the cleanliness and readiness of vehicles and assist with related paperwork and documentation.

Hands-On Technology: While our shuttles operate autonomously, you’ll have the exciting responsibility of manually operating them using a handheld gaming controller for added safety.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Enthusiastic and approachable individuals with excellent communication skills.
Passion for technology and a commitment to safety. Proven track record of safety related past positions are a plus.
Ability to adapt and respond to dynamic environments.
Previous customer service experience.
High attention to detail and accuracy
Professional appearance, demeanor, and communication skills
Reliable team player with a positive attitude
Self-starter, excellent problem solver, flexible, resourceful, process driven and have a high degree of integrity and ethics
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
Ability to learn technical troubleshooting skills to determine causes of unexpected issues
Education and Experience:
Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 5 years’ driving experience and clean Motor Vehicle Report
Minimum of 1-2 years customer service experience
Desirable previous experience in the automobile industry
Safety-related previous assignments and positions are a plus.
Comfortable engaging with, and speaking to, members of the public and small groups of people
Ability to pass a background check and Federal drug screen.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting, predominately in a moving shuttle
Mixed outdoor environment with interior; may be exposed to heat or cold
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate a gaming controller or joystick
Ability to visually inspect and assess equipment, road conditions, and riders
Ability to follow written and verbal direction
Fluency in English (both written and verbal); bi-lingual a plus
Must be able to lift to 20 pounds at times
Must be able to assist ADA riders or those who may need assistance
