Job requirements include guest reservations (phone and online), checking guests in/out, hospitality and concierge service, some prep of mixer bar, light snacks and other tasks related to the daily operation of the property. We are looking for someone who is a team player, hardworking, and forward-thinking. If you are detail oriented, trustworthy, and able to receive feedback and want to work in a beautiful historic inn this could be the place for you. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.

Requirements:

An understanding of basic functions of hotel operations.

The ability to operate standard office equipment (i.e., computer, calculator, fax, printer, copier and multi-line telephone system). Experience with CloudBeds system or similar a plus.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Essential to communicate effectively, establish and maintain professional and cordial working relationships with staff and guests.

Compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums and other instructions.

Education: High school education or equivalent.

Experience: Front desk/guest service experience preferred.

Specifics:

As a Guest Services Agent, you would be responsible for greeting, registering guests, checking them in and out of the inn ensuring rooms are correctly accounted, using CloudBeds system.

Additionally, the handling of money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, making change and processing gift certificates in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Greeting guests and completing the registration process includes: inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms and ensuring guest knows location of room and assisting with luggage when necessary.

Taking reservations: Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the inn's information including: room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries.

As a small inn, it is important to promote our unique facility and amenities, i.e., full breakfast, daily cocktail party, live entertainment, free parking, etc. to maximize room occupancy.
