Captain and Mate wanted for commercial fishing vessel. You will work as an independent contractor and be provided with a 33 foot Crusader with all the equipment to get started. You will be fishing out of Key Largo in the waters around Key Largo.
Captains position requirements:
-Must have experience as a captain on a commercial fishing vessel.
-Knowledge of fishing Yellowtail fish
-Knowledge of local waters
-Preferred licensed captain but not required
-Must have Florida Safe Boaters Certificate or able to obtain it by starting date
-Must have mechanical knowledge and willing to perform some mechanical repairs and maintenance
-Have a solid work ethic
-Be motivated to make money
-Be responsible to maintain all documents and logs as required
-Be good at open communications
-Don't be lazy
Mate position requirements:
-Have some experience commercial fishing
-Have experience as a mate or be willing to learn
-Mechanical knowledge and willing to perform some mechanical repairs and maintenance desirable
-Have a solid work ethic
-Be motivated to make money
-Be good at open communication
-Don't be lazy
You will be leased the vessel and make weekly payments. All the remaining income from the sale of the fish will be used for supplies and salary. The more you catch the more you make. The earning potential is up to you.
