Job Description:
Duck Key Marina is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Forklift Operator to join our team. Located in the beautiful Florida Keys, our marina offers premier services to boaters and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will be certified and have prior experience operating forklifts specifically moving boats and will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving boats and other marine equipment within the marina.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing excellent customer service to everyone
Operate forklift to safely move boats and marine equipment within the marina
Assist with launching and retrieving boats from the water
Ensure the safe and proper storage of boats in designated areas
Perform routine maintenance checks on forklift and report any issues to management
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
Communicate effectively with marina staff and boat owners to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating a forklift required
Valid forklift operator certification preferred
Knowledge of marine operations and boating terminology is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
