Busy retail shop looking for an honest, reliable and responsible person for permanent part-time work.
Job Requirements:
2-3 days a week, occasional weekends
Hours are 9:00a.m. - 5:15p.m
Must have transportation
Must be able to lift 40 lbs and be able to climb a step-stool/small ladder to get merchandise off walls
Job is face paced and requires being on your feet most of the day and moderate physical activity
Must be able to count change/money
Flexible schedule
Must have some knowledge of retail operation.
Job Responsibilities:
Customer service
Cash register operation
Unpacking delivery boxes
Pricing merchandise
Adding merchandise to inventory
Cleaning including daily vacuuming of store, light dusting
You will be responsible for keeping the store neat and organized at all times!
Must be friendly, outgoing and be able to kindly and patiently deal with tourist, kids, non-english speaking visitors and the occasional general idiot.
The store has a variety of coastal home goods, books, toys, jewelry, pet accessories and plenty of adult novelty/snarky itemsIf you are opposed to fun and offended by the "F" word, you need not apply!
The job is mostly weekdays, and is very flexible on which weekdays you work. There will be occasional weekends when other employees have scheduled vacation time. You will be expected to show up for ALL scheduled shifts. We understand emergencies happen, however, a stubbed toe, hangover, broken finger nail, sunburn, your cat scratched you, it's too hot, too sunny etc are not emergencies and no-shows will not be tolerated.
There are security cameras in the store. Stealing will not be tolerated.
