We operate a leading online marketing platform and directory for kayaking adventures in the Florida Keys. Our website attracts thousands of visitors seeking to book kayak rentals and guided tours. We invest significantly in digital advertising to drive customer demand to our platform.
The Opportunity – A True Partnership:
This is not an employment position. We are looking for independent business owners (sole proprietors or LLCs) who provide their own kayak guide and/or rental services. Our platform functions as a lead generation and marketing service for your independent business.
Your Role as an Independent Contractor:
· You own and operate your own separate kayak business.
· You provide all necessary equipment: kayaks, paddles, PFDs, vehicles, and trailers.
· You obtain and maintain all required licenses, permits, and insurance, including commercial liability insurance, vessel insurance (if applicable), and proper licensing (e.g., Captain’s license, ACA/BCU certification).
· You set your own service rates and pay us a predetermined marketing/referral fee or a percentage of the booking for each client referred through our platform.
· You control all aspects of service delivery: scheduling, client interaction, safety briefings, tour guiding, and equipment maintenance.
· You are responsible for all your own tax obligations, including self-employment tax, and will receive a 1099-NEC form if annual referrals exceed $600.
How Our Platform Supports Your Business:

· We handle the initial booking inquiry and payment processing via our website, then refer the customer to you.
· You maintain the direct client relationship for the duration of the service and for any future bookings.
