Job Title: Nano-weld Technician - Part 145 Component Repair Shop

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Nano-weld Technician to join our FAA Part 145 certified component repair facility. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding techniques, ensuring precision, quality, and compliance with aviation standards for the repair and maintenance of aerospace components. We will teach our Nano-weld procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

Precision Welding: Perform nano-welding on aircraft components, ensuring high-quality welds that meet or exceed industry standards.

Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct pre-weld inspections, in-process and post-weld inspections to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and repair station quality control procedures.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all welding procedures, inspections, and repairs in accordance with Part 145 requirements.

Equipment Maintenance: Regularly maintain and calibrate welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues related to welding, including material defects or equipment malfunctions.

Training and Compliance: Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with the latest welding techniques, materials, and regulations. Ensure all work complies with the repair station's manual and FAA Part 145 standards.

Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment, and participating in safety drills and training.

Qualifications:

Certification: Certifications in aerospace or aviation maintenance are highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in precision welding, with at least 1 year specific to an aerospace environment preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficient in using weld tools, microscopes, and related precision equipment. Knowledge of materials used in aerospace applications is necessary.

Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in welding, materials science, or a related field is advantageous.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAA regulations, particularly Part 145, and understanding of quality control in repair stations. The company will provide FAA training if required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work in confined spaces, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.

Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, teamwork, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work Environment: This position is based in a controlled workshop environment but may involve working with high-precision equipment in various settings within the facility.

Schedule: Standard work hours with potential for overtime based on operational needs.
