Job Description:

This is professional work providing casework assistance for vocational rehabilitation clients including monitoring payments and reimbursements.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED (but not limited to):

Complete referrals for appointments.

Implements necessary procedures to make approved purchases.

Accompanies clients when purchasing clothing, tools, equipment, or similar items.

Schedules appointments for recommended services under the direction of the counseling staff.

Manage authorization process for payments.

Assist with job placement and/or job development activities for clients.

Resolves client transportation issues.

Assist with case management as directed.

Reviews data for completeness and accuracy, performs research, records, and track documents.

Maintains specialized records, compiles information on costs, budgets and other data for reporting purposes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university. Experience in a counseling, job placement, job coaching, or public vocational rehabilitation program can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

STATE OF FLORIDA EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:

State pays 80% of premium for health insurance - employee pays $180 (family) or $50 (individual) monthly.

10 Paid Holidays annually

Employees with creditable service up to: 5 years earn 8.667 hours per month / 5 to 10 years earn 10.833 hours per month / 10 years earn 13 hours per month.

Career Service employees earn 8.667 hours of sick leave credits per month

Background Screening Requirement:

It is the policy of the Florida Department of Education that applicants for employment undergo level 2-employment screening in accordance with the requirement of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment of being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
