Job Details:
Strenuous labor that is conducted throughout the State of Florida. Application of herbicides is performed operating Back Pack Sprayers, ATVs, UTVs, Truck and Boat. Work includes the identification and selective physical removal/treatment of nuisance and invasive plant species (training provided). Using equipment such as GPS based technology (Garmin's, etc.), machetes and chainsaws are a daily and common occurrence.
Requirements:
-Valid Drivers License
-Transportation REQUIRED
-Good Work Ethic
-Teamwork and Communication Skills
-Must be in good physical condition and willing to work outdoors. That means being able to carry upwards of 35lbs on your back consistently through the day, while traversing uneven terrain that may be thick with thorny vegetation.
-Must be able to handle the weather conditions that come along with FL weather on a daily basis (heat, cold, humidity, rain, etc.)
Having prior work experience and training with spraying herbicides or invasive, exotic plant identification is not required, but will have your application priority reviewed.
Schedule and Benefits:
-Monday- Friday (in rare instances may include weekend days, schedule is subject to change)
-Overnight work weeks are regular - when required, expenses are paid (room and board, dinner, and gas if applicable) we do not provide per diem in a payment format directly provided to an employee, the business will cover any necessary expenses
-Salary pay - direct deposit or cash
-Vacation days are earned up to 5 days per year
