We are a Plumbing and HVAC company in the Golden Triangle are of Lake County and we are looking for a Plumbing Auto Cad Designer! This is a full-time position working at our corporate office, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. We are looking for someone who uses Auto Cad to engineer and design plumbing systems, detail drawings, assembles drawings, sketches and diagrams. Detail to include all views and dimensions necessary for system installation. Makes copies of drawings and maintains information regarding changes to the project. Makes most decisions in reference to design. Solid understanding of the plumbing code, drafting techniques and familiarity with Engineering terminology. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. Familiarity of CAD equipment and relationship of CAD. If this candidate has knowledge of BIM and Revit it would be an added benefit. Some, but not all the Essential Duties would include the following:
Coordinates all plumbing design work with Field Managers
Sketches rough layout of systems to include sizes, dimensions, materials and location, as per code requirements.
Utilizes knowledge of various systems, plumbing code, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
Design detailed isometrics drawings of plumbing systems and products.
Update Drafting, CAD and Engineering Standards
Responsible for setting up and maintaining an organized file system for Production Drawings
Communicate with other Departments regarding new and revised prints

Education/Training/Experience
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
American Society of Plumbing Engineers, CPD certification.
High level of competence in the design of engineered plumbing systems.
Good knowledge and understanding of the plumbing codes as well as related construction industry codes.
High skill level in AutoCAD software. Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Ability to learn new graphic software to compliment the presentation of new AutoCAD designs.
Physical Capabilities
Must be able to sit at desk for long periods of time (up to 94%)
Special vision requirements are close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, fax and copier.
