Let us be the best place you'll ever work.A Brief OverviewThe Fulfillment Inventory Control Manager oversees all inventory related processes including cycle counts, and inventory control and quality related activities relative to the distribution of product to customers.What you will doPeople Leadership Responsible for the full cycle of talent fundamentals, including selection, onboarding, training, development, performance management, culture, and engagement of their team. Creates a positive and engaging work environment where people are motivated to perform their best and encourages retention.Operational Management Manages the flow of product through the sites (slotting, tracking, velocity, curves, etc.) Oversees all inventory related processes including cycle counts and inventories. Implements quality processes and standards in the sites. Research inventory variances to determine roots causes and work with leadership team to reestablish work instructions. Manages the inspection and processing of all reverse logistics returns. Manages and verifies vendor errors and discrepancies, and communicates issues to all appropriate contacts. Works with other Safelite sites regarding shipment accuracy and integrity. Process all condition reports received from the field. Supports all Inventory Management System activities and documentation within the distribution center. Initiates and coordinates projects to improve quality and accuracy. Researches and reports on any vendor related quality issues when notified by corporate. Works closely with the inventory control team, corporate finance team, purchasing team, and materials management team to handle any DC related issues.Health and Safety Ensures Federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, CDL, DOT and MHE) are being followed in distribution center Proactively identify risk behaviors and coach/train to eliminate Ensure the operation leads with safetyEducation QualificationsHigh School RequiredExperience Qualifications4-6 years Relevant experience RequiredInventory control leadership experience RequiredSkills and AbilitiesPhysical requirements are inclusive, but not limited to, the following: Ability to work at a physical distribution location Ability to work in an office environment (in a stationary position) but will also on distribution floor as needed Ability to occasionally lift windshields, up to 35 pounds Ability to satisfy all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements as outlined in the Field Supplemental Handbook (i.e., ability to wear safety glasses while working in the distribution center) Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment, such as a phone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Frequent communication with customers, associates, vendors, and others. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
