Job Responsibilities:
Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, ensuring that all meals meet high standards of flavor, presentation, and authenticity.
Ingredient Selection: Source and select fresh ingredients, spices, and sauces, adhering to traditional Chinese culinary practices.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef to create and innovate menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and traditional recipes.
Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service during peak hours.
Customer Engagement: Occasionally interact with customers to share knowledge about dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chinese cook in a professional kitchen.
In-depth knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques and regional cuisines.
Strong knife skills and proficiency in using traditional cooking equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Culinary degree or certification is a plus, but not required.
