Experienced veterinary technician; applicant must be able to demonstrate skill in venipuncture, parasite microscopic identification, familiarity with commonly used canine and feline vaccines, and routine handling of patients, taking of vitals, monitering of surgeries, assistance with radiographs and ultrasounds. Computer skills require entering histories, routine exam findings and assistance with preparation of common prescriptions. Applicant must have knowledge of commonly encountered veterinary medical problems, breeds of animals, preparation of surgical instrument packs, surgical prep. Interviews will not be scheduled for applicants who do not have experience in these skills.
Professional caring attitude, employment is full time and permanent. Alternating Saturday mornings required, shifts can run from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Reliable transportation required. Certification not required.
