L&W Supply is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. L&W Supply delivers the products and capabilities offered by a national distributor paired with the service and personal touch usually found only in a locally owned business.This is a second shift, part-time position.
If you are a dependable and personable individual who is looking for a rewarding career with an established company, we want to hear from you! As a Warehouse Associate, you will pull orders for customers and load orders onto our company delivery trucks. You will perform picking and loading duties using a forklift.
Specific duties may include:
â¢Following all applicable safety rules and procedures
â¢Receiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventory
â¢Organizing and maintaining the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space while also ensuring that all products can be quickly retrieved for shipment
â¢Pulling ordered material from inventory and staging it for pickups and deliveries
â¢Maintaining all products in a quality and marketable condition
â¢Keeping accurate inventory records
â¢Operating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loads
â¢Estimating the weight of forklift loads so that the delivery vehicles are properly loaded and are not overweight
â¢Physically sorting through various products in order to remove defective material
Specific qualifications include:
â¢Ability to be trained and licensed/certified by L&W Supply to operate forklift equipment
â¢Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts
â¢Ability to lift and carry up to 115 lbs with assistance
â¢Previous warehouse experience is preferred
â¢Knowledge in all applicable building material products is preferred
â¢Experience with drywall warehousing is preferred
