HD Trailer Solutions is seeking an experienced “Level 2” Production Welder to join our growing trailer manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a welder who is confident in MIG welding, fitting components, and producing consistent, high-quality welds in a fast-paced production environment.
A Level 2 welder is expected to work with minimal supervision, handle more complex welds and assemblies, and assist with maintaining quality and efficiency on the shop floor. They should also be knowledgeable enough to guide the “Level 1's” when needed.
Schedule
4 days per week (Mon–Thu) (3 day weekends)
10-hour shifts: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
30-minute lunch break
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel trailer frames, components, and assemblies
- Fit, square, and weld components according to shop standards and drawings
- Produce clean, strong, and consistent welds suitable for production work
- Identify and correct weld or fitment issues before moving to the next stage
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work efficiently while meeting quality and production expectations
- Occasionally assist or guide Level 1 welders when needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of MIG welding experience in a production or fabrication environment
- Ability to produce quality, presentable welds with minimal rework
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 of an inch
- Experience fitting and welding structural steel components
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Must pass a weld test during the interview process
- Must pass a drug test on day one and agree to random drug testing throughout employment
