Key Responsibilities:
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints: Following plans to ensure accurate construction.
Measuring, Cutting, and Shaping Materials: Precisely preparing materials for construction.
Constructing and Installing Structures: Building frameworks like walls, floors, and doorframes, as well as installing fixtures like windows and molding.
Repairing and Maintaining Structures: Inspecting and replacing damaged materials or structures.
Using Tools: Proficiently using both hand and power tools for various tasks.
Following Safety Protocols: Maintaining a safe work environment.
Communicating with Clients and Other Tradespeople: Working effectively as part of a team.
Common Tasks:
Framing: Building the structural framework of buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs.
Installing Fixtures: Installing windows, doors, trim, and other fixtures.
Repairing and Maintaining Structures: Fixing damaged wood and other structural components.
Skills and Qualifications:
Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Understanding and following architectural plans.
Proficiency with Tools: Mastery of hand and power tools.
Math and Spatial Reasoning: Accurate measuring and cutting.
