POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Drywall Experience Required
Able to perform all Assistant Project Manager’s and Project Engineer’s responsibilities (refer to position descriptions)
Estimate and establish budgets and contract price (GMP/Lump Sum)
Understanding of CPM Schedule and Durations
Develop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Architect and Client
Work with operations to develop unit rate and safety plans
Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management
Manage, and train junior estimators
Organize regular meetings for management
Review contract conditions vs. estimated budgets; for compliance with all contract terms
Supervise documentation of all RFIs, and post bid reviews
Direct preconstruction services and activities to facilitate in turnover to operations
Assist with business development and participate in job interviews
Support operation staff (bid item specialist)
Complete all pre-award paperwork and documentation
Conduct bid follow up with clients and post bid updates to management
Complete other responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Estimating or Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills)
Leadership ability
Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
Organizational and communication skills
Drafting and computer skills
Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
