SALARY RANGE

37,136.00 - $39,136.00 Annually 1,428.30 - $1,505.23 Bi-weekly

Position Summary

Orders food and supplies and verifies that quantity and quality for issue document, invoice, or purchase order is accurate. Accountable for discrepancies. Completes whatever task(s) deemed necessary to keep SAM operating on a daily and ongoing basis.

Work schedule: Monday - Friday. 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST

The Work You Will Do

Issues food and supplies with approved requisition (from houses) and production sheets. This includes special functions, picnics, which may need to be adjusted in accordance to weather, food requirement, substitutes, etc.

Responsible for accurate storage, rotation, and cleanliness of walk-ins, freezers, storerooms, and back dock. First In/First Out always practiced. Monitor recycling materials. All areas in compliance with Health inspections and 10D-13.

Performs administrative duties, i.e., extending prices, tabulates percentages, receives for quotes, and places al orders for incoming food and supplies for Sunland Food Service Department. All these duties on a timely routine schedule. Responsible for making sure the vehicle logs are completed correctly and accurate before they are turned in to the secretary on the 1st of each month.

Receives, sorts, verifies, and stores chemicals, apparatus, equipment, medical supplies, and supplies.

Exhibits a positive work attitude in working with all people, residents, co-workers, management, and community on a daily and ongoing basis.

Supervises all first shift Motor Vehicle Operator positions and assists in delivery of meals to resident homes(areas) as needed.

Responsible for replacing all light bulbs when blown. Ensures all pallets, milk grates, and bread racks are always picked up. Responsible for making sure the outside all around the building is always clean.

Monitor, in-service, motivate and direct staff in areas of job performance. Complete employee’s performance evaluations and performance expectations within established timeframes as required.

Maintain timesheet, ensuring accuracy and submit timely in accordance with policy and procedure. Review and approve timesheets as required. Monitor all time and attendance to ensure all coverage levels are met, review and address areas of concern with staff and management as required.

Performs other related duties as required.

Completes all required training. Monitor and tracks to ensure assigned staff complete required training.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 4 years of professional food service experience.

ServSafe certification

1 year of delivery experience

1 year of ordering and invoicing experience.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge of record-keeping procedures.

Ability to conduct physical inventories of stores items.

Ability to inspect warehouse areas for space utilization, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Ability to supervise the receipt, inspection, and distribution of supplies.

Ability to supervise people.

Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and ensure proper completion of work assignments.

Ability to establish and maintain inventory control records.

Ability to prepare and review purchase requisitions.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Direct Deposit Program

As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

Background Screening Requirement
