Evaluate CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) designs about the critical infrastructure and service needs for the network.
Plan and design CPE to support both legacy and modern telcomm services network solutions.
Implement solutions that support customer requirements.
Participate in after action reviews to resolve technical challenges.
Create and maintain documentation for engineering and NOC teams.
Identify areas of opportunity for automation and network optimization.
Manage the CPE design release workflow to meet the implementation schedule.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent of a 4-year accredited degree in a technical discipline.
Degree and minimum 4 years of prior WAN Telecommunications networks experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior WAN.
Telecommunications networks experience.
Highly motivated and capable of developing and following detailed instructions and action plans.
Ability to work in a team environment and is self-directed and self-motivated.
Project management skills capable of adhering to deadlines and completing tasks per project schedule.
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office software applications.
Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and technical procedures.
Domain knowledge of the Telecommunications industry, including carrier services, provisioning terminology, CISCO routers and network infrastructure and IP technologies such as Pseudowire and Ethernet switching.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance security clearance .

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to design, implement and support Ethernet and TDM network infrastructures.

Experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Fujitsu and RAD.
Experience with database modeling software such as MetaSolv.
Familiarity with drawing tools such as AutoCAD.
