Job Summary:


We are seeking a motivated individual looking for an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Network Planning Engineer supporting FAA/FTI program. As a Network Planning Engineer, the candidate will support the design, implementation, and optimization of communication network solutions. The candidate will collaborate with internal and external teams, and work independently on special projects, including developing network designs based on emerging customer requirements. Other tasks include negotiating commercial vendor products, developing procedures for implementing new network designs, and managing small to large network projects.

responsibilities:




  • Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and modeling.
  • Designs, analyzes, plans, and modifies network components and/or software by translating customer requirements and objectives into final product design.
  • Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods.
  • Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management.
  • May manage projects or processes with general supervision.
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside of their own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
