job detailsjob summary:A Principal Electrical Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Melbourne, FL area. This role seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer adept at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and support manufacturing and service test solutions for avionics products, requiring hardware and software expertise.location: Melbourne, Floridajob type: Contractsalary: $54.29 - 76.36 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Review product designs and devise test solutions optimizing test coverage in manufacturing and service environments.
Design, analyze, test, integrate, and document hardware of moderate to high complexity.
Integrate and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical and systems engineering) to ensure appropriate electrical design for project/product approach.
Reverse engineer existing equipment as needed, including documentation.
Support automated test software development.
Create, review, and verify automated test procedures to drive software development.
Skills:
strong communication, documentation, and collaboration/teamwork skills.
Proficiency in software development, preferably with experience in LabView and/or C#.
Ability to read electronic schematics.
Desired Skills:
Domain knowledge of avionics products.
Familiarity with radar frequencies.
Background in electrical engineering and domain knowledge.
Experience in test operations (Test Ops) is beneficial.
Experience as a Test Engineer or within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) product team is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline.
5+ years of experience with LabView and C#.
