Job Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring that all project requirements are met, and that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The PM will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the project, managing the workforce, subcontractors, and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

a. Project Planning and Scheduling:

Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables.

Prepare detailed work schedules, allocate resources, and ensure project milestones are met.

b. Budget Management:

Establish project budgets and ensure financial control throughout the project's lifecycle.

Track expenses and ensure that the project stays within the approved budget.

Identify and address any financial discrepancies or potential cost overruns.

c. Team Leadership and Coordination:

Manage project teams, including subcontractors, laborers, and other stakeholders.

Coordinate the work of various parties involved in the project to ensure effective collaboration.

Foster a positive and productive work environment.

d. Quality Control:

Ensure that the project meets the required quality standards and complies with all relevant codes and regulations.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.

e. Risk Management:

Identify potential risks to the project (e.g., delays, cost overruns, safety hazards) and develop mitigation strategies.

Resolve any project-related issues that arise during construction.

f. Client and Stakeholder Communication:

Maintain regular communication with clients, project owners, and other stakeholders to provide updates on progress and address concerns.

Act as the main point of contact between the client and the project team.

g. Safety and Compliance:

Ensure that all safety regulations are followed on the job site.

Monitor safety practices and implement measures to reduce accidents and maintain a safe working environment.

h. Reporting:

Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients.

Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date, including contracts, permits, change orders, and inspections.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

5+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry.

Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering construction projects.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.

Proficient in project management software.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Spanish is a plus.

Valid driver license and good driving record.

Certifications (Preferred):

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.

OSHA certification for safety.

Work Environment:

Office-based with frequent visits to construction sites.

Ability to work in varying weather conditions on site.

Occasional travel may be required depending on the project location.

We offer you:

We offer a competitive salary within the range of $70,000 to $75,000 per year, with the final compensation package determined based on your experience, qualifications, and relevant skills.

“Car pack” provided (gas, toll and oil change).
