Beacon Hill Preparatory School, Miami Campus, sits on 5 beautiful acres in the heart of Miami Gardens. Celebrating its 65th year, Beacon Hill Preparatory School serves students 1- year old through 8th grade and is an institution in the community. We believe in educating the whole child, so students learn core academic subjects including Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science, along with yoga, Spanish, etiquette, physical education, art, music, and percussion. Beacon Hill Preparatory School boasts successful alumni who have gone on to a myriad of careers including doctors, lawyers, nurses, and professional athletes. A qualified Middle School Math/Science Teacher candidate will:
- have a BA and at least 1+ year of successful middle school experience
- meet students where they are and help them grow
- use differentiation in a mixed ability/multi grade classroom
- be a good team player, who is collaborative, inclusive, and has a growth mindset
- enjoy being around middle schoolers, be warm, and want to see them succeed
- be on time and prompt, organized, and be able to meet deadlines
- be able to take direction and ask for support
- have high expectations of students and help them to reach those expectations
- be of high moral character and be a role model for students
- knowledge of RenWeb, Edmentum, and other online platforms is a plus
