Job Purpose:It is the primary responsibility of the Engineering Supervisor to perform preventive and ongoing maintenance of the hotel, back of house, and retail areas within the property, and act as the lead Engineer in the absence of the Assistance Director of Engineering. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices, and procedures. The Engineering Supervisor also assists the Engineering management in leading the team and assigning and delegating work orders and projects, including inspecting work as needed. He/She must be proficient and versatile in one or more building trades; electrical, painting, carpentry, industrial plumbing, HVAC, kitchen appliances, swimming pools, general mechanics, and perform all essential functions of Maintenance Engineer 1, 2, and 3, and inspect all major equipment and mechanical/electrical rooms to assure they are in perfect order, clean well-marked and locked.Duties & Functions:Meet with the DOE to maintain a schedule of engineering staff to ensure that all shifts are covered at all times.Receive and respond to maintenance calls in the hotel and from guests and otherConduct daily propertyManage the use of any system used for maintenance, such as HotSOS/Nuvola,Perform all essential functions of a Maintenance Engineer 1, 2 andTroubleshoot and repair lighting fixtures, systems, plumbing and electricalTroubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment ranging from heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, fan coils, chillers, pumps, boilers, cooling towers, and energy management systems.Work with power ranging from low to mediumOperate scissor and boom lifts and climb ladders to access elevated areas such as ceilings and catwalks when certified.Troubleshoot electrical systems, motor controls, lighting, and dimming systems, and UPSResponds to the life safety system and fire alarm panel, locates the area of alarm, and dispatch it to Engineering personnel to take action.Read and understandMaintain a property-wide clean and safe workMaintain proper records of the Rooms Preventive Maintenance Program and the RequestManage the daily preventative maintenance program to ensure that the system is on time and logged as required.Provide daily stand-up pre-shift meetings with the engineering department on all shifts as well as post-shift for the department. Interface with all other departments assuring cooperation from the engineering department on service issues.Relocate table games according to floor layout and surveillanceHandle guest complaints ensuring guestProvides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance department and hotel.Complete additional duties/tasks as assigned by the SupervisorWe recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged, or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.Requires the ability to lift large and heavy packages and boxes and the ability to load and unload small and large boxes as needed. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance and to push and pull up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment.GROOMING/UNIFORMSAll employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
