Job DescriptionProvide administrative support to the Benefits and Wellness Department. Under the direct supervision of the human resources director, the health & wellness coordinator will lead, manage and communicate a comprehensive wellness program for employees. The incumbent will assist with the day-to-day operations of all benefits administration including annual open enrollment, HRIS maintenance and updates, implementations and compliance activities. This role also maintains files, department documents and communications. Reports to Director, Benefits & WellnessEssential Functions:
Lead and manage the Carnival wellness program including coordinating, planning, and facilitating health and fitness activities. Responsible for implementation of impactful wellness initiatives
Assist with the day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs, including annual open enrollment task, health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits
Assist and prepare benefits and wellness communications including updates to sharepoint, intranet and yammer page. Ensure communications are clear, accurate, and aligned with company policies and values
Maintain HIPAA compliant electronic files for benefits team, utilize the file management software (iManage) and act as point of contact and access administrator for the broader shoreside human resources team
Schedule Retirement committee meetings, assist in coordinating meeting documents, presentations, etc. Record and distribute meeting minutes as needed.

Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred.
Work Experience: 1+ Experience as an HR assistant or HR coordinator role with focus on employee health and wellness administration.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience as an HR assistant or HR coordinator role with focus on employee health and wellness administration
Understanding of Federal & State Regulatory Laws applicable to Benefits (i.e. FMLA; HIPPA, etc.). Excellent organizational and time management skills. Interpersonal and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively explain benefits information and respond to employee inquiries as well as coordination with vendors.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Travel: No travelWork Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Holidays – All full-time and part-time with benefits employees receive days off for 7 company-wide holidays, plus an additional floating holiday to be taken at the employee’s discretion.
Vacation Time – All full-time employees at the manager and below level start with 14 days/year; director and above level start with 19 days/year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 84 hours/year. All employees gain additional vacation time with further tenure.
Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
