We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized candidate with experience in laboratory work for a position in our Data Entry/Sample Pretreatment department at our Radiocarbon Dating Laboratory in Miami, FL. In this role, you will play a critical part in our laboratory operations involving sample data and preparing materials for radiocarbon analysis. You will work in a fast-paced scientific environment where precision and efficiency are essential to delivering accurate dating results for our clients.Perform accurate data entry of radiocarbon dating samples into laboratory databases and tracking systems, ensuring all information is recorded correctly and completelyConduct sample pretreatment procedures following established laboratory protocols and standard operating proceduresPrepare and organize samples for analysis, including cleaning, weighing, and packaging according to specificationsMonitor sample inventory and organize storage systems to ensure efficient retrieval and trackingOperate and maintain laboratory equipment used in sample pretreatment, including proper calibration and cleaning proceduresAssist in troubleshooting data discrepancies and sample handling issues in collaboration with senior laboratory staffSupport the laboratory team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environmentCommunicate effectively with team members regarding sample status, processing timelines, and any issues that arise
