Description Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client seeking a Purchasing Assistant. As the Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department. For this Purchasing Assistant position, excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required. The Purchasing Assistant will ideally have previous purchasing or procurement experience and a desire to advance their career. This Purchasing Assistant position could be perfect for you if you are looking to start your career within procurement.Responsibilities
Perform data entry of purchase orders daily
Help the purchasing department with any additional tasks
Work with vendors and suppliers, always providing superior customer service
Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services
Ensure all departments have appropriate inventory levels
Ensure that received orders have all necessary information Requirements - High school diploma or GED required
Strong documentation and organization skills
Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred
Excellent research and analytical skills
Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and inventory management software programs
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position
