This individual will be working approximately 15 hours a week - mostly will be required in the morning.   • Job Responsibilities: Title examiners search and examine publicly recorded documents and interpret them to evaluate a property\'s condition of ownership. Among documents which a title examiner must review are deeds and agreements recorded with the official records of the county in which the property is located, court filings, and surveys. Title examiners search public records and examine titles to determine a property title\'s legal condition. Must analyze the recorded documents review for the purpose of issuing a preliminary title report from which a title company offers to insure a property\'s legal title. A title examiner must also be able to summarize the title history of the subject property in order to ensure the vesting and legal description are correct. In addition, must have knowledge of the different ALTA policy types, their insuring provisions and their exclusions. Must also be aware of new legal developments that affect their duties. He or she must be able to collect and analyze information in order to find creative solutions for solving problems. Must be able to create strong trust and support from team members.

  • At Houston Methodist, the Outpatient Coder position is responsible for ensuring diagnostic and procedure codes are assigned accurately to outpatient, emergency room, therapy, and/or clinic encounters based upon documentation within the electronic medical record while maintaining compliance with established rules and regulatory guidelines.
