An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. Opening in late 2024, the property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who’s who of Miami. Spanning 25,000 square feet of innovative indoor and outdoor event space, Andaz Miami Beach will become a landing spot for guests and locals seeking celebratory gatherings that embrace the city's culture of music, art, and fashion.Job Description:Andaz Miami Beach is looking for a Restaurant General Manager who is excited, qualified, hard-working, individuals with a passion forhospitality and a commitment to superior guest service.Experience with Micros, high volume, and extensive Restaurant General Manager are all beneficial but not required. The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations. The primary function is to ensure exceptional customer service, maintain high-quality standards, and drive profitability. The G.M. leads a team of employees, implements operational strategies, manages financial aspects, and fosters a positive, inclusive work environment. Strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and business acumen contribute to this role’s success.Responsibilities & Duties Include:

Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of employees, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management.

Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service.

Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.

Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, policies, and operational updates.

Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the restaurant.

Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various areas, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and customer service.

Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and guests.

Monitor inventory levels, track food costs, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.

Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and quality control.

Maintain a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.

Handle customer feedback, and complaints, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Train in de-escalation.

Regularly interact with guests, build relationships, and address their needs and concerns.

Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience and promote repeat business.

Develop and manage the restaurant's budget, including revenue forecasts, cost analysis, and expense control.

Monitor financial performance, review financial statements, and implement strategies to improve profitability.

Analyze sales trends, customer preferences, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.

Implement effective pricing strategies and promotions to increase revenue.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation standards.

Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant.

Train staff on proper safety procedures and maintain documentation for health inspections.

Uphold company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines.

Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures

To ensure that all perishable items used behind the bar are labeled/dated and responsible for rotating and throwing away to maintain quality control

Portrays a positive friendly and professional attitude at all times, always smiles and greets guests warmly and genuinely

Provides prompt, professional, friendly, and personalized service to our guests

Provides help and support to all fellow colleagues

Performs opening side work and set up station

Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings

Provides professional and exceptional food and beverage service

Listens to guests and anticipates their needs

Responds to guests’ questions and their needs

Proper serving of wine and alcohol (with awareness)

Properly executes closing procedures

Completes closing side work for specific table sections

All other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications: Must be able to lift a minimum of 20lbs Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry. Proven experience as a G.M. or in a similar leadership role within the restaurant industry. In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and cost-control techniques. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
