CAFÉ CLERK – CUSTOMER SERVICE (300.00 NEW HIRE BONUS)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Café Clerk is responsible for serving customers and cleaning the café daily from 7:00 AM -3:00 PM, Monday through Friday and is responsible for both maintaining cleanliness and order of the cafe, and providing our guests with top-notch customer service. Duties include but are not limited to: preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, along with pastries and cookies and various lunch items, sandwiches, etc.

CAFÉ LOCATION:

Café is located inside the Broward County Main Court House in Ft Lauderdale,and 2 other sites in broward county. Email your resume with a contact phone number.

SALARY:

This opportunity will start at $10.00 per hour plus tips , less applicable taxes plus tips.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Customer Service - Ensure efficient, informative, and friendly service to all Café visitors according to established customer service vision and standards.

Café Department Responsibilities:

o Greet customers at counter and assist them in a timely manner

o Handle customer question and complaints

o Promptly serve customer’s orders and check for and ensure customer satisfaction

o Check out customer’s purchases quickly and accurately, using correct prices an codes

o Follow proper procedures in opening, closing, and maintaining all café areas including: deli station, bakery case, beverage station, and seating area

o Ensure areas are kept clean and organized

o Follow sanitation guidelines with regards to food handling, serving, and storing

o Stock service items, including paper products, packaging products, and miscellaneous items

o Advise café manager of equipment repair or replacement needs

o Follow safety guidelines in regards to lifting, knife handling and equipment operation

o Keep store orderly and clean

o Perform all other duties as assigned by manager

Must have legal paper to work in this country.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

High School diploma or equivalency degree

Outstanding customer service skills

Ability to handle multiple demands and work under time pressures

Willingness to be open, to learn, and take on new responsibilities

Demonstrate objectivity, neutrality and calmness under pressure

Ability to maintain a cooperative, friendly, and outgoing attitude

Regular, predictable attendance

Effective communication skills in English

Ability to follow through on systems, procedures and policies

Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing conditions quickly

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Must have legal papers to work in this country

Standing, walking, bending, reaching
