Experienced Line Cook

Restaurant open over 34 years in the food service business, Looking to hire a new staff member or members. Please stop in between the hours of 2p.m. and 5p.m. to fill out an application. Job Distributions:

Cooking:

Preparing and cooking menu items like appetizers, sides, sauces, dressings, and entrees. This can involve following recipes, seasoning, tasting, carving, and serving. Line cooks should be able to cook food consistently and in a timely manner.

Preparation:

Washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry, or fish. Line cooks may also prep, wash, and chop components for larger dishes.

Plating:

Putting meals together according to instructions from the executive chef.

Communication:

Working with their team, manager, and front-of-house staff to ensure orders are completed on time and to request.

Cleanliness:

Washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment, and cleaning prep stations. Line cooks should also ensure that the kitchen meets food safety standards and regulations
