We are seeking a dependable and passionate Sous Chef / Line Cook to join our intimate, reservation-only Italian kitchen. This hybrid role combines leadership and hands-on cooking, supporting daily operations while upholding our legacy of quality, consistency, and warmth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute dishes according to established recipes and plating standards
- Supervise and support kitchen staff during service
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving deliveries
- Step in for the head chef when needed; lead by example
- Collaborate on seasonal menus and daily specials
- Uphold a respectful, team-oriented kitchen culture
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in professional kitchens
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine preferred
- Food Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Strong communication, time management, and multitasking skills
