We are seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer with a strong grasp of immigration law. The Immigration Lawyer will be responsible for representing clients in immigration cases, preparing legal documents, and providing legal advice. Other responsibilities include working with individuals as well as companies.
Immigration Lawyer Duties and Responsibilities
Represent clients in immigration cases before government agencies and in court proceedings
Prepare legal documents such as applications, petitions, appeals, and waivers
Research and analyze complex immigration law issues
Provide legal advice and counsel on all aspects of immigration law
Communicate with clients regarding their immigration matters
Monitor changes in immigration law and advise clients accordingly
Develop strategies to resolve immigration-related problems
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of immigration law and trends
Immigration Lawyer Requirements and Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and admission to a state bar
At least 3 years of experience practicing immigration law
Extensive knowledge of immigration law, statutes, practices, and procedures
Able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
Able to handle multiple cases simultaneously
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
