Litigation paralegal needed for law firm representing sex trafficked minors. Must be proficient in federal court litigation and competent in client care and management. This job requires providing direct paralegal support to an attorney in all aspects of federal litigation, including significant investigation and fact finding. It also requires extensive client contact, sourcing of aid and assistance and being a passionate advocate. Daily tasks includes e-filing, scheduling, and assisting in preparing motions, notices and subpoenas in addition to frequent client contact. Must be proficient in MS Office, Zoom and operating an Android phone. Competency expected in answering phone calls, maintaining files handling mail and operating in a paperless office. This is a small office so unexpected tasks from time to time are part of the job.
This paralegal job requires an independent self-starter. You will not be micromanaged but you will be expected to get the work done. You must be an excellent communicator, comfortable with victim advocating. We can teach paralegal skills; we expect you to be a zealous advocate from day one.
