Remote Part-Time Transactional Paralegal

Location: Fully Remote

Hours: Part-Time, 10-20 hours/week to start (flexible scheduling)

Compensation: $25-$40 per hour

Start Date: Immediate

About Us:

We are a small law firm specializing in transactional law for healthcare-related clients. Our focus is on empowering healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, dentists, veterinarians) and business owners through starting new practices, expansions, acquisitions, and sales. We handle everything from entity formation and contract drafting to due diligence and closings. As a growing firm, we're seeking a reliable, proactive paralegal to join our team remotely and help alleviate workload while maintaining high standards of client service.

Role Overview:

This is a fully remote, part-time position ideal for an experienced, independent paralegal looking for flexible work who can hit the ground running with minimal on-boarding training. You'll support the attorney directly on a variety of administrative and substantive tasks in a fast-paced transactional environment. This role includes a 45-day trial period to ensure mutual fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research focusing on Florida and California real estate, corporate, and healthcare matters.

Draft, review, proofread, and edit legal documents.

Create, maintain, and customize standard templates for recurring documents to streamline transactions.

Support deal work including due diligence: populate and manage data rooms; distribute/track/collect documentation; produce and manage closing checklists; assemble closing packets and manage closing logistics.

Organize digital files and data rooms using standard naming conventions; implement quality control.

Convert PDFs to Word for editing/reformatting; create templates in Word.

Draft, review, proofread, and edit client-facing communications, including emails and engagement agreements.

Manage attorney's calendar; send reminders and coordinate availability.

Respond to client inquiries via email and phone; answer incoming calls, screen messages, and manage basic client intake.

Run conflict checks and maintain conflict database.

Qualifications:

4+ years of paralegal experience in transactional law (real estate, business, corporate, or healthcare preferred); open to legal secretaries/assistants with equivalent duties.

Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter—must be a "plug-and-play" professional who can integrate quickly, manage tasks proactively, and require little hand-holding. No entry-level applicants.

Proven track record creating templates, checklists, automating workflows, or managing data rooms/diligence processes.

Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); PDF tools (Adobe Acrobat)

Experience with practice management tools (e.g., Clio) and e-signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign, Adobe Sign).

Must provide at least 2-3 professional references.

Why Join Us?

Flexible, remote work with no commute—perfect for work-life balance.

Engaging variety: Mix of research, drafting, organization, and transaction support.

Growth potential: Start part-time with room to expand as the firm grows, including possible transition to full-time.

How to Apply:

Email your resume, a brief cover letter highlighting relevant transactional experience, your hourly rate expectations, and 2-3 references to contact@healthcarebusinesslawfirm.com. Include "Remote Paralegal Application" in the subject line.

We are an equal opportunity employer. No recruiters or agencies.
