One of my client companies is seeking an Inventory Specialist (linen), non-exempt hourly position; $22-25.00 plus benefits. ENSURES Intellievent system inventory counts are up to date on a daily basis. Background screening will be performed if offered a position.

Need English and Spanish skills for both writing and speaking. Familiarity with inventory management software, ERP Systems, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.

Will utilize a FORKLIFT to drive, move, and operate during cycle counts AND daily inventory checks.

Summary:

The Inventory Specialist is a key member of the team, responsible for the day-to-day execution of all inventory-related functions for the linen division. This role ensures the accuracy of all inventory data, manages product flow, and serves as a vital link between various departments, helping to maintain product availability and resolve quality concerns. The Inventory Specialist's meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills are essential to supporting efficient operations and meeting business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

The key functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Inventory Management & Production Control

Oversees and resolves daily missing items flagged for upcoming orders, conducting necessary research to locate or replace products.

Utilize forklift, to drive, move, and operate during cycle counts and daily inventory checks to move products efficiently and safely.

Manages production planning and execution, setting daily priorities and ensuring the timely completion of linen and sewing work orders.

Supports the resolution of inventory backlogs in the Laundry department by conducting research and tracking product movement.

Leads the first article inspection process to ensure the accuracy and quality of new item deliveries.

Responsible for performing regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy. Duties include identifying discrepancies, updating records, investigating variances, and ensuring inventory data integrity to support smooth warehouse and production operations.

Data & System Accuracy (I.E. System)

Ensures IntelliEvent (I.E.) system inventory counts are up to date daily by processing all necessary adjustments.

Processes daily adjustments for receiving incoming goods and for items produced/modified by the Sewing Team.

Maintains accurate inventory records across all systems, including regular checks for errors and data integrity.

Maintain accurate inventory records in the IE system by processing daily counts and making necessary adjustments, including the removal of inbound linens pulled from inventory.

Interdepartmental Collaboration & Logistics

Serves as a vital link to the Receiving, Shipping, Laundry, and Sewing departments.

Liaises directly with the Sewing Team regarding missing items, work order adjustments, and priority production needs.

Coordinates incoming linen receiving orders with the Purchasing Manager to ensure alignment on product status and quantity.

Proactively problem-solves and resolves quality concerns related to inventory items

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree in business, Supply

Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.

Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an inventory, logistics, or operations support role, preferably within the rental or retail industry.

Skills:

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.

Forklift certification is a plus.

Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous approach to data entry and system management.

The ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.

Familiarity with inventory management software, ERP systems, and a strong command of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of inventory control, logistics, and supply chain principles.
