Job Summary:
As our Farmers' Market Sales Associate, you will be the face of our brand at local markets. You will be responsible for transporting inventory, setting up and breaking down our booth, engaging with customers, and driving sales. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, and thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Logistics: Pick up products and supplies from the commercial kitchen in Oakland Park and transport them to the designated farmers' market(s).
Setup and Display: Set up and take down the market tent, tables, and product displays. Ensure the booth is visually appealing, well-organized, and represents our brand professionally.
Customer Engagement: Enthusiastically engage with market visitors. Offer samples to encourage sales.
Sales and Transactions: Proactively sell products to meet sales targets. Handle all transactions accurately using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system (Square) and cash.
Qualifications:
Reliable Transportation: Must own a reliable vehicle capable of transporting a tent, tables, and product inventory.
Physical Stamina: Able to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to 40 lbs) and stand for 5 hours at a time in various weather conditions.
Outgoing Personality: Genuinely enjoys interacting with people and has strong communication skills. A positive, friendly, and approachable attitude is a must.
Sales Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, farmers' markets, or customer service is a plus, but a passion for sales and a willingness to learn is most important.
Availability: Must be available to work on weekends.
Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
