Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist and Nail Technic manicure-pedicure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in hair styling techniques, customer service, and salon management. You will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients. Your expertise in various hair techniques, including color theory and hair extensions, will contribute to the overall success of our salon.
Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
- Apply advanced techniques such as hair extensions, hair threading, and straight razor cuts.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with salon policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to clients’ needs and offering personalized recommendations.
- Assist with front desk operations including greeting clients, answering phones, and managing retail sales.
- Mentor junior stylists and assist in training new staff on salon procedures and best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, makeup application, nail care, and retail math to enhance client experiences.
- Promote salon products through upselling techniques to maximize retail sales.
Experience
- A valid cosmetology or barbering license is required.
- Proven experience in a salon setting with a strong focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY is preferred.
- Knowledge of color theory and various hair techniques including eyelash extensions is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
