Diesel Technician / Mechanic Semi-Trucks

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our maintenance team, repairing and maintaining diesel engines and related components specifically for semi-trucks and trailers. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of customer vehicles while providing top-notch service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on semi-trucks, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and other preventive maintenance tasks.

Diagnose malfunctions and failures in diesel engines, electrical systems, transmission systems, and other mechanical components.

Repair or replace faulty parts, using both hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized tools.

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Maintain accurate work records and documentation, including service reports, maintenance logs, and inventory of parts used.

Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and share knowledge of diesel technology.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technology, and repair techniques.

Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and services to clients in a clear and professional manner.

Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the shop and on the road.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a diesel technician or mechanic, specifically with semi-trucks.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems, as well as heavy truck repair techniques.

Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.

Certification from a recognized diesel technician program (e.g., ASE certifications) is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $156,000.00 per year
