Maintenance Technician - Maya Marca Condominium
Maya Marca Condominium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair operations for our 19-floor, 93-unit residential property. This opening is due to the upcoming retirement of our long-serving current main Maintenance Technician after 15 years of dedicated service.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for coordinating all maintenance activities within the condominium's common areas. You will ensure maintenance operations run smoothly, preventative maintenance is performed, repairs are completed efficiently, and resident requests are addressed promptly. This is not a supervision position but a working/hands on job. The maintenance technician must be able to perform physical work. Starting at $20/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the property, units, and equipment to identify maintenance needs
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and schedules
- Respond to and prioritize resident maintenance requests and work orders
- Manage maintenance budget and control expenses related to repairs, supplies, and contracted services
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger projects and renovations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and budgets
- Be on-call for any after-hours emergencies that may arise
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in building maintenance and repair, preferably in a multi-unit residential setting
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable in HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- High school diploma required, technical certification or degree preferred
