The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the firm. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel functions. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial best practices. Working Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00AM - 5:30PM EST Accounts Payable & ReceivableOversee all AP and AR functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Review, verify, and reconcile invoices, expenses, and receipts.Manage vendor payments and maintain strong relationships with vendors.Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.Reconcile client trust accounts in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.General AccountingMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.Perform bank/credit card reconciliations.Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.QuickBooks ManagementUtilize QuickBooks to manage all financial data.Create and analyze financial reports using QuickBooks features.Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.Excel & Data AnalysisUse advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, conditional formatting) for financial analysis and reporting.Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Compliance & Audit SupportSupport audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.Assist with tax preparations and filings in collaboration with external accountants or auditors.
