Description We are inviting applications for the role of Payroll Clerk at our office in Miramar, Florida. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations at all levels and making certain that all payroll tax returns are filed accurately and promptly. Responsibilities: Preparing worksheets for federal tax filings and making tax payments electronically or via phone. Creating and maintaining check requests and coupons for state and local taxes, ensuring timely electronic payments and filings. Researching and reconciling tax liabilities and payments with the general ledger on a monthly basis. Keeping track of taxable wages, taxes withheld, and taxes paid by reporting frequency. Assisting with the preparation and filing of quarterly 941, 940 (FUTA), and SUI tax returns. Supporting the reconciliation, printing, and mailing of W-2s. Maintaining business process documentation for payroll tax filings and system updates. Communicating system and tax changes effectively to business end users through clear written and oral communication. Learning and managing software tools that update taxes and rates within SAP (e.g., TUBS, HRSPs). Researching and resolving system errors in the SAP Payroll System in a timely and compliant manner. Building and maintaining relationships with Corporate and Divisional personnel. Handling special projects and performing other job-related duties as assigned.
