North Beach Rehabilitation Center -NORTH BEACH REHAB, A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY LOCATED IN NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL is currently seeking a highly organized, self-motivated and experienced SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (SLP) to join our staff!Full-time position Monday thru FridayThe ideal candidate is dedicated to providing for his or her patients and exceeding expectations. As a Speech Therapist you will facilitate the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for the patients who come through our facility. If you are an accountable and reliable individual who truly cares about the well-being of others, then we would like to meet you!Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) :Providing monitoring and educational programs to staffConduct reports and maintain proper documentation of information, such as client Medicaid and billing records and caseload activities, including the initial evaluation, treatmentCreating, administering and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patientsInputting the charges for services provided to patients in our computer systemInstructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvementEducating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandingsCommunicating with the dietary department in regards to rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctionsParticipating in workshops and in-service meetings with staffMaintaining records and documentation on the patientsRequirements of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) :MS in Speech Therapy from an accredited speech-language pathology programPrior experience using NetHealth (documentation) and Point Click CareLicensure to practice in the state of FloridaBeing CPR certifiedProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelNOTE : All Applicants must speak and be able to write in English
