Job Description: Part time self-storage relief manager for 24-32 hours per week, including Fridays and Saturdays. Position reports directly to the Property Manager and is responsible for all aspects of a self-storage operation including leasing storage units, selling storage merchandise, maintaining the facility, collecting rent and other various customer service/maintenance activities consistent with maintaining high occupancy and income goals. Bilingual language skills a plus.

Requirements:

Strong customer service skills, courteous phone manners with all current and prospective renters.

Previous self-storage experience preferred but not required.

Strong computer software skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with storage management software a plus.

Must be in good physical condition to perform maintenance tasks.

Duties:

Assist customers in determining the needed storage unit size by assessing their needs and reviewing the available storage size options.

Answer telephone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner, with the objective of closing the sale and properly documenting calls.

Familiarize potential tenants about the self-storage process, rules and regulations of the facility, tips for storing their goods, etc.

Contact current tenants for past due rent.

Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed including removal of trash, restocking supplies and occasional preparation of storage units.

Monitor activity within the facility, reporting any maintenance issues to the property manager.

Provide vacation coverage for property manager.
