Salary Rate: $35,706.32 Annually SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The employee in this position is responsible for providing assistance in supplemental academic instruction in the Title 1 program. Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

Provides small group and individual instruction as directed by the academic or vocational teacher.

Types and makes copies for Title 1 teachers and/or instruction.

Maintains Title 1 program records, including classroom grades, attendance and membership rolls, attendance calendars, instructional prescriptions and inmate referral forms.

Grade tests and records test results for Title 1 students.

Maintains and distributes classroom supplies, equipment, and inventories for the Title 1 program.

Takes roll and prepares absentee reports.

Assists in the collection of data for Title 1 evaluations, needs surveys and reports.

Attends conferences, workshops, and meetings for program improvement, professional development and Title 1 program operation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

Ability to follow instructions, rules, and proceedures.

Ability to plan, organize, coordinate work activities.

Ability to provide teaching or guidance to others.

Ability to work with inmates.

Knowledge of computer software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
