Position: Personal Care Attendant / Home Caregiver
Location: On Top of the World, Ocala, FL
Type: Part-time, with flexible scheduling options
Compensation: $18/hour + covered expenses for activities
About the Role:
Our family are seeking a caring, dependable Personal Care Attendant part time, and based on when it is a good time for you. Flexible hours and days!
The wife need assistance for her husband, a man in his 70s with a spinal cord injury in the On Top of the World community in Ocala. This role is designed to provide essential daily support, helping to alleviate the caregiving responsibilities managed by his wife. The ideal candidate will assist with daily routines, mobility, and join in on outings and activities. This position is well-suited for someone who is patient, reliable, and enjoys an active environment and sports, especially American football.
We can offer 2-3 days per week 4 hours to a full day.
Responsibilities:
Support with mobility, including helping with transfers, using a walker, help getting up from the chair, and providing balance assistance. We have walker, wheelchair etc.
Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene, bathroom support, and dressing.
Help with routine tasks such as activities, picking up items and basic physical tasks.
Prepare meals, perform light housekeeping, and manage daily activities. Examples can be doing activities, go to the gym, go out for lunch, other activities etc.
Accompany on outings, go out to eat, errands, and recreational activities like watching American football.
Requirements:
Male candidates are preferred.
Experience preferred, not required in caregiving or home care
Ability to assist with lift, transfer, and assist with mobility tasks.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred). We also have a vehicle thatcanbeused.
