Brick City Cat Hospital is looking for a full or part time Veterinary Technician to join our feline only practice. We are a privately owned non-corporate cat hospital that has been in Ocala for 23 years. We pride ourselves on practicing modern medicine with compassionate care and are a Gold Level Cat Friendly Practice certified by the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
Qualified candidates should have at least two years small animal veterinary technician experience (ideally cat only) be a hardworking, detailed oriented team player, that is self-motivated and is a positive minded individual who is passionate about caring for our feline patients, clients, and fellow team members.
A successful candidate needs to be skilled in low stress handling of cats for examinations, diagnostics, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement; can induce, monitor anesthesia, and recovery; perform dental cleanings including digital dental radiology; be able to set up and monitor surgery; perform digital radiology and ultrasound guided cystocentesis. Avimark experience is a plus.
