As an assistant Golf Mechanic, you will help our mechanic manager maintain and repair the equipment they need to develop and maintain outstanding landscapes. Also, you will assist with mowing fairways and roughs.
Mowing fairways and roughs with gang units
Operating a variety of commercial landscape equipment that may include turf vacs, skip-loaders, aerifiers, and sprayers.
Ensuring proper use, maintenance and safekeeping of all equipment
Performing other tasks as assigned
Assist maintenance program, repair failing equipment, inspect and diagnose mechanical failures for golf maintenance equipment
Assist train golf equipment operators
Assist employees' safe use of equipment in absence of the superintendent and assistant superintendent
Follows safety procedures as a top priority, reports any issues mechanic manager Safety
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a related role
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
Preferred Skills & Experience
Diesel engine and heavy equipment experience is highly desirable
Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Friday: 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Alternating Weekends: 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Compensation:
Pay is dependent on experience
