Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Hay Delivery Driver and Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of hay and other equine products to our customers' farms. You will also play a key role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Driving and Delivery:
Safely operate a company truck and trailer to deliver hay and other equine products to customer locations throughout Central Florida.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to all clients.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules, product information, and any concerns.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
Assist with resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Hay Handling and Unloading:
Safely unload hay bundles from the trailer using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Stack and store hay in customers' barns according to their preferences and safety guidelines.
Ensure proper handling of hay to maintain its quality and prevent damage.
Inventory and Record Keeping:
Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records of hay and other products.
Track deliveries and customer orders using basic business software.
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to deliveries and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience driving a truck and trailer combination.
Experience working in farm environments.
Ability to lift and handle heavy bundles of hay.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Knowledge of equine products and horse care is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
