WEEKEND Ranch hand needed to work on small ranch and home. Duties include working with other Ranch Hands, feeding, cleaning stalls and barn, hen house and general maintenance and repair of property and equipment. Candidate should have the ability to define goals, meet urgent deadlines, organize and prioritize projects on the ranch.
We are always doing projects at the ranch and a basic knowledge of hand tools is a plus. Basic woodworking, fence repair etc.
Grounds maintenance: Mowing, weeding, cleaning, power washing etc knowledge and experience of basic lawn maintenance equipment A PLUS. Knowledge of repairing equipment A PLUS.
Must know how to safely operate a tractor and attachments including a bush hog, or have the initiative to be taught how too.
A knowledge of caring for livestock: horses, goats, chickens, and Donkeys a plus.
Must have common sense and be able to work unsupervised some of the time.
Must be able to lift 50lbs or more above chest height, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run. Must be able to work outside in the elements (heat and cold )
Must have transportation and valid driver's license
PART TIME - Afternoons and weekends
Successful candidate must be able to pass background check and have local references.
